Lacazette (Lyon) had a great season last yr & was on everyone's wish list. Less prolific this year. Maybe last season was a freak season for him. He is quick but quite short.
Benteke would be a poor signing at anything like £40m.
I'm leaning more towards the Marseilles fwd.

I don't think they are saying we would pay 40m for benteke obviously worth nowhere near that much. But we'd definitely cough up for one of the two lads from France.

I would much rather spend £40mil on 3 quality players that will improve the strength of the squad than spend it all on one player.
Kouyate, Lanzini, Payet, Antonio have all significantly improved us for a combined total of less than £40mil...more of that in this window please!
Absolute max I would want us to spend on a striker right now is £25mil

I thought we had an obligation to go into the OS debt free because the current bank loans are secured against the Boleyn Ground? If that is the case then a chunk of the new TV money will be needed to pay off the remaining debt this year.
